CARE

Light: Provide bright, indirect light for strong growth and healthy silver coloration. Gentle morning sun can be beneficial, but avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sun, especially indoors where heat can build up near windows.

Water: Thoroughly wet or soak the plant, then shake out excess water and allow it to dry completely with good airflow. Water should not remain trapped in the center of the rosette for extended periods. Watering frequency will vary with humidity, temperature, and airflow.

Humidity: Average to moderately humid household conditions are suitable as long as the plant has good airflow. Higher humidity may reduce how often watering is needed.

Soil: No soil is required. Tillandsia xerographica is an epiphyte and should be displayed where air can circulate freely around the plant.

Temperature: Prefers warm conditions around 60–85°F. Protect from frost, cold drafts, and prolonged exposure to temperatures below about 50°F.

Fertilizer: Feed lightly with a fertilizer formulated for bromeliads or air plants during periods of active growth. Use fertilizer sparingly to avoid buildup on the foliage.

GROWTH & HABIT

Tillandsia xerographica forms a large, symmetrical rosette of broad, silver-gray leaves that naturally twist and curl as the plant matures. Its foliage is covered with fine trichomes that give the plant its pale appearance and help it absorb moisture from the air and water. Mature plants can eventually produce a tall, colorful flower spike before forming offsets, or pups, near the base.

PET SAFETY

Pet Safety: Tillandsia air plants are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. Even so, keep the plant out of reach of pets that may chew or damage the foliage.

AFTER DELIVERY
